Trustee Recruitment

We are looking for 3 new trustees to develop our current Board. We are keen to hear from individuals with specific skills and back grounds who can help us strive to achieve our vision:

• To produce bold and original theatre productions which broaden human understanding and ignite audience imaginations
• To provide an arts education programme which transforms disadvantaged lives through the performing arts
• To bring theatre to as many people as possible, across the widest possible demographic range.

We are open to applications from all individuals, but would particularly like to hear from those with experience of:

• Arts Management/ Arts Consultancy
• Marketing/ PR
• Finance. 

We are also particularly interested to hear from those with knowledge of Medway and Northeast Kent.

The Current Board
The Board of Trustees are responsible for the vision and strategic position of the organisation including the financial, legal and developmental aspects of the organisation. Icon Theatre’s 4 current Trustees (Directors) cover a range of professions including charity fundraising, auditing and House of Commons research. Each board member is a specialist in their field, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and is passionate and committed to the work of the organisation.

What Commitment is Required
The Board meets approximately once every two months in London.

We will then meet with you, give you the opportunity of touring the Brook Theatre and if both parties are happy to move forward then an induction and position will be confirmed.
