Set and Costume Designer
Set and costume designer sought for 'The Christmas Adventures of Snowy the Fox', a promenade, interactive Christmas show for ages 3-6 at the Brook Theatre in Medway.

'The Christmas Adventures of Snowy the Fox' visits a Christmas circus, a pirate treasure island and an underwater sea world, encouraging children to solve puzzles, find hidden items and move through the set as the production progresses. Designed specifically for ages 3- 6, it will include projection, puppetry and contemporary dance, with an emphasis on multi-sensory, tactile and interactive storytelling.

The Christmas Adventures of Snowy the Fox' is a Play on Words, Icon Theatre, Loop Dance and Brook Theatre co-production, building on the success of last year's show 'The Mouse Who Saved Christmas' ('If I see a children’s Christmas show this year with more charm and originality, I shall be very surprised' - The Stage).

Place: The Brook Theatre, Old Town Hall, Chatham, Kent ME4 4SE

Dates: Rehearsals start Nov 23. Show runs from Weds 7 Dec - Sat 24 Dec 2011. Fee: £1500. We regret that additional travel costs cannot be paid, but daily transport to and from London is available most days if required. The designer needs to be happy to both design and build, and the set & costume budget is £2400. We also hope to be able to provide an assistant to the designer.

If you are interested in applying please send a CV and covering letter to Nancy Hirst (director) at nancy@icontheatre.org.uk by Friday 7 October. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch on 01634 813 179 or email nancy@icontheatre.org.uk.
